On February 25,1994 1.8 million photos were taken of the Moon during the Clementine Mission. Different variations were taken including “Full Color” photos. The front cover of this DVD is one of hundreds of photos featured in the film. This is the first time in human history the Moon is being revealed to you in its’ “Full Natural Color.”

On the matter concerning whether or not we went to the Moon, we landed there without a doubt. This film is about what was waiting for us when we got there and the lies put in motion in order to conceal what was found.

Moon researchers and investigators appearing in this film disclose facts hidden from you for over forty years. The facts will amaze and shock you at the same time. You may ask yourself why these lies have been impressed upon us all these years.

The answers to these questions may prove we are not considered equal to those pulling the strings involved in this “greatest of all discoveries you have been denied.”

The suppressing of the evidence that there may have been civilizations existing on the Moon, or even more incredible, the possibility they are still there brings into question why we have been kept in the dark. The biggest insult is we’ve been led to believe the moon is a grey - colorless rock. On the contrary, The Moon appears to be a small planet teeming with life and structures the likes of which you have never seen before until now. At least it appears to have been inhabited in 1994 when these photos were taken.

On the front cover there is a bright silver - bluish disc on the upper right with a light green dome at its‘ center. Comparing it with the terrain below it does not conform with the angle of the surface. The object is hovering above on its’ side. The other disc at the bottom is in correct placement on the surface and is illuminating the immediate area.

The entire episode forms part of an impressive investigation undertaken by the renowned founders of Grupo OVNI ­ Jorge Marron and Daniel Valverdi ­ who managed to secure an interview last week with the young woman, 23, who lives in a house in Florencio Varela along with her husband and child. "The case is currently under investigation and the analyses have not yet been completed. We are working with a multi-disciplinary team of experts who have contributed their manpower to unravel the case. As we can tell right now, it is 90% true," Valverdi told Expedientes Secretos.

"Karina" is the name of the protagonist, and the story is truly enthralling. Among other revelations, she said that the aliens visit our planet on six-month rotations, and are replaced by a new group. They also explained that the circles and shapes that appear on the fields are signals they employ among themselves, and finally explained that there are dozens of civilizations from other planets that come down and interact on Earth to study it (and surely to study us).

"I never had an experience of this sort. It happened two and a half months ago. We were in bed ­ my husband, my baby and me. They were asleep and I was trying to fall asleep. Suddenly I felt lights, and when I opened my eyes there was nothing there. I closed my eyes again, and the same thing happened. Like a flash of light. I opened my eyes, but all I could see was the [pilot light] on the stove," explained Karina, on audio recordings broadcast on the Codigo OVNI radio show (FM Apuntes, Mondays, 22:00 hrs.)

"The fourth time that this happened, I felt it closer. I opened my eyes and saw the beings standing beside me. I was lying between my husband and my daughter. I uncovered myself and sat up. They were around the bed, fourteen of them, all of them short except for one: this last one was beside my husband, staring at him fixedly. The small ones were all around, and measured 1.30 meters or so. They were slightly taller than my bed's sommier, which is rather tall," said the young woman.

In her description of the events to researches Marron and Valverdi, the witness explained that she tried to wake her husband, but was unable to do so. "I even dug my nails into him, but nothing. The baby was on the other side, on her stomach, but neither of them reacted. At that time, one of the beings told me not to wake up my husband, because he was not ready. I realize that they spoke to me telepathically, and I could answer them in the same way," Karina explained.

They were practically alike. The only difference was the height of one of their number. They were skinny, with long necks and small heads. Their eyes were black, like almonds, slanted, and their mouths were also small. They had little wrinkles on their face and the head was oval. They had shoulders; their fingers were long and had no nails," described the woman, who was standing beside a group of aliens who touched her hair, the palms of her hands and lifted one of her arms."

"Five of them were on the left, four facing me and five on the right side of the bed. I was the only one who wasn't paralyzed. We communicated for some 40 minutes, mouths closed. That is to say, I spoke by my mouth didn't move. I managed to touch one of the little ones, and he touched my face. I just felt the need to touch him, and in fact I felt peaceful in their company. I never had the impression that they could harm my daughter or any one of us," Karina insists.

"Suddenly he made a movement (sic)," said the witness. "He touched me with two fingers, and finally brushed a finger along my forehead. They told me they had come to give me answers about a black book (the Bible) and that what I was thinking was in fact true. When I asked them a question, they told me everything, with details."

In her conversation with the researchers, Karina stated "the tall one was looking at my husband all the time. His head was slightly smaller than the others, because the small ones had rather larger heads. It felt like touching a baby's skin ­ they had little wrinkles, but I couldn't feel them when I touched one of them. The skin was cold and the color was odd, neither white nor gray. They had a skin tone that doesn't exist here."

Truth About The Moon - NASA Black Box Transcripts

This has to go down as some of THE BEST smoking gun evidence that NASA failed to cover up.

YouTuber "LunaCognita" has done a fantastic job by searching through the NASA archives to share this information with the world. Check this video out!

In this examination into NASA's "black box" transcripts, we will look at just a few of the many interesting and revealing comments made by the astronauts throughout the Apollo program that were captured by the CSM's DSE system, as well as touch on some of the scripting protocols employed during the various TV broadcasts made from the CSM during the journey to and from the Moon and while in lunar orbit. Contrary to what many think, those TV broadcasts were in fact elegantly scripted affairs, designed to rigidly control the amount of data that we, the general public, would have available to analyze. Because of this, the DSE and DSEA internal crew conversation transcripts can provide us, in the astronauts own words, an unscripted and less-guarded insight into some of the incredible things they really witnessed during their journey to and from the Moon.

During the Apollo lunar landing program, NASA made use of two primary flight telemetry/voice recording systems aboard their spacecraft. One of these systems was inside the Command/Service Module, and the other was mounted within the Lunar Module. These two systems were known as the DSE (aboard the CSM) and the DSEA (aboard the LM). The "Data Storage Equipment" systems essentially served as Black Box cockpit voice recorders, designed to tape some of the internal conversations between the astronauts while they were out of radio contact with Mission Control in Houston. After contact was re-established during the flight, Mission Control could then dump (downlink) the recorded data from the CSM to Earth, where it would be analyzed.

Unfortunately, NASA today claims that the original DSE Black Box tapes from the Apollo missions are missing and are presumed lost. However, these DSE recordings were transcribed shortly after the contents of the tapes were originally dumped from the CSM to the Earth, and several years after the Apollo program ended, these transcripts finally were declassified and then released to the NASA archives.

In coming segments, we will examine many more impressive statements made by the NASA astronauts that were captured by the various cockpit voice recording systems utilized during not only the Apollo program, but during the earlier Gemini Earth-orbital flights as well. There is much more to come!

Scientists Stumped By Telepathic DNA

DNA has been found to have a bizarre ability to put itself together, even at a distance, when according to known science it shouldn't be able to. Explanation: None, at least not yet.

Scientists are reporting evidence that contrary to our current beliefs about what is possible, intact double-stranded DNA has the “amazing” ability to recognize similarities in other DNA strands from a distance. Somehow they are able to identify one another, and the tiny bits of genetic material tend to congregate with similar DNA. The recognition of similar sequences in DNA’s chemical subunits, occurs in a way unrecognized by science. There is no known reason why the DNA is able to combine the way it does, and from a current theoretical standpoint this feat should be chemically impossible.

Even so, research published in ACS’ Journal of Physical Chemistry B, shows very clearly that homology recognition between sequences of several hundred nucleotides occurs without physical contact or presence of proteins. Double helixes of DNA can recognize matching molecules from a distance and then gather together, all seemingly without help from any other molecules or chemical signals.

In the study, scientists observed the behavior of fluorescently tagged DNA strands placed in water that contained no proteins or other material that could interfere with the experiment. Strands with identical nucleotide sequences were about twice as likely to gather together as DNA strands with different sequences. No one knows how individual DNA strands could possibly be communicating in this way, yet somehow they do. The “telepathic” effect is a source of wonder and amazement for scientists.

“Amazingly, the forces responsible for the sequence recognition can reach across more than one nanometer of water separating the surfaces of the nearest neighbor DNA,” said the authors Geoff S. Baldwin, Sergey Leikin, John M. Seddon, and Alexei A. Kornyshev and colleagues.

This recognition effect may help increase the accuracy and efficiency of the homologous recombination of genes, which is a process responsible for DNA repair, evolution, and genetic diversity. The new findings may also shed light on ways to avoid recombination errors, which are factors in cancer, aging, and other health issues. Source

Australian Dust Storms May Be Radioactive

The sky will be the color of blood, many things will then begin to happen that right now we are nor sure of their exact nature. For much of reality will not be as it is now.

A TEAM of Australian scientists are analysing the dust that has engulfed eastern Australia this week to see whether it is dangerous.

The dust storm is believed to have originated around Woomera in outback South Australia near the massive Olympic Dam uranium mine, prompting fears it was radioactive and dangerous.

Climatologist Professor Nigel Tapper, from Melbourne's Monash University, played down the risks to humans but said the dust might threaten important eco-systems such as the Great Barrier Reef.

"Certainly the dust storm could have potentially come from those outback areas, we believe it has mainly come from dry lake and creek beds and elsewhere in the Lake Eyre basin," he said.

"That (radioactive) stuff has been spread around over a long time so I would not have thought there would be much of an issue around that.

"The main concern is over fine dust that goes right into the lungs triggering asthma and other respiratory problems."

The scientists were analysing dust that had been blown 2150km to New Zealand and "fingerprinting" it, and its minerals, to find out where it came from and if it was a threat to the Coral Sea and agriculture.

Although it is not unusual for smoke particles to cross the Tasman, meteorologists said the arrival of Australian dust was a rare occurrence.

Dust blown from Africa is believed to have similarly damaged coral reefs in the Caribbean, Prof Tapper said.

"Our preliminary tests show materials are getting there and we have identified where it has come from but the biologists will look at the microbes and bacteria there and if it is causing impacts," he said.

"The coral reef is already affected by El Nino (warmer ocean), if it quickly becomes cool or hot and all sorts of such as run-off and different star fish."

Academy Award nominated documentary maker David Bradbury, who has made films about nuclear power, warned about the risks from radioactive dust near the Olympic mine yesterday.

Australian scientist Peter Cosier has also claimed poor land management had made Australia less resistant to dust storms, with another event predicted to hit Sydney this weekend and the drought being blamed for the dust.

The dust storm has been recorded as breaking air particle concentration levels and reaching 15,400 micrograms per cubic metre of air. Normal days register up to 20 micrograms and bushfires generate 500 micrograms.

Meteorologist Philip Duncan of the WeatherWatch website said orange dust falls had been reported in the North Island districts of Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki.

It was clearly visible where it landed, particularly on car windows.

"It arrived yesterday afternoon but was caught up in the rain and cloud associated with the front. Now that the skies are clearing it's quite evident," Mr Duncan said yesterday.

A Taranaki resident told the website the dust was so thick at the school where he worked it would not wash away in heavy showers. Source

For scary speculation about the end of civilization in 2012, people usually turn to followers of cryptic Mayan prophecy, not scientists. But that’s exactly what a group of NASA-assembled researchers described in a chilling report issued earlier this year on the destructive potential of solar storms.

Entitled "Severe Space Weather Events — Understanding Societal and Economic Impacts," it describes the consequences of solar flares unleashing waves of energy that could disrupt Earth’s magnetic field, overwhelming high-voltage transformers with vast electrical currents and short-circuiting energy grids. Such a catastrophe would cost the United States "$1 trillion to $2 trillion in the first year," concluded the panel, and "full recovery could take 4 to 10 years." That would, of course, be just a fraction of global damages.

Good-bye, civilization.

Worse yet, the next period of intense solar activity is expected in 2012, and coincides with the presence of an unusually large hole in Earth’s geomagnetic shield. But the report received relatively little attention, perhaps because of 2012’s supernatural connotations. Mayan astronomers supposedly predicted that 2012 would mark the calamitous "birth of a new era."

Whether the Mayans were on to something, or this is all just a chilling coincidence, won’t be known for several years. But according to Lawrence Joseph, author of "Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation into Civilization’s End," "I’ve been following this topic for almost five years, and it wasn’t until the report came out that this really began to freak me out."

Wired.com talked to Joseph and John Kappenman, CEO of electromagnetic damage consulting company MetaTech, about the possibility of geomagnetic apocalypse — and how to stop it.

Wired.com: Do you think it’s coincidence that the Mayans predicted apocalypse on the exact date when astronomers say the sun will next reach a period of maximum turbulence?

Lawrence Joseph: I have enormous respect for Mayan astronomers. It disinclines me to dismiss this as a coincidence. But I recommend people verify that the Mayans prophesied what people say they did. I went to Guatemala and spent a week with two Mayan shamans who spent 20 years talking to other shamans about the prophecies. They confirmed that the Maya do see 2012 as a great turning point. Not the end of the world, not the great off-switch in the sky, but the birth of the fifth age.

Wired.com: Isn’t a great off-switch in the sky exactly what’s described in the report?

Joseph: The chair of the NASA workshop was Dan Baker at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics. Some of his comments, and the comments he approved in the report, are very strong about the potential connection between coronal mass ejections and power grids here on Earth. There’s a direct relationship between how technologically sophisticated a society is and how badly it could be hurt. That’s the meta-message of the report.

I had the good fortune last week to meet with John Kappenman at MetaTech. He took me through a meticulous two-hour presentation about just how vulnerable the power grid is, and how it becomes more vulnerable as higher voltages are sent across it. He sees it as a big antenna for space weather outbursts.

Wired.com: Why is it so vulnerable?

Joseph: Ultra-high voltage transformers become more finicky as energy demands are greater. Around 50 percent already can’t handle the current they’re designed for. A little extra current coming in at odd times can slip them over the edge.

The ultra-high voltage transformers, the 500,000- and 700,000-kilovolt transformers, are particularly vulnerable. The United States uses more of these than anyone else. China is trying to implement some million-kilovolt transformers, but I’m not sure they’re online yet.

Kappenman also points out that when the transformers blow, they can’t be fixed in the field. They often can’t be fixed at all. Right now there’s a one- to three-year lag time between placing an order and getting a new one.

According to Kappenman, there’s an as-yet-untested plan for inserting ground resistors into the power grid. It makes the handling a little more complicated, but apparently isn’t anything the operators can’t handle. I’m not sure he’d say these could be in place by 2012, as it’s difficult to establish standards, and utilities are generally regulated on a state-by-state basis. You’d have quite a legal thicket. But it still might be possible to get some measure of protection in by the next solar climax.

Wired.com: Why can’t we just shut down the grid when we see a storm coming, and start it up again afterwards?

Joseph: Power grid operators now rely on one satellite called ACE, which sits about a million miles out from Earth in what’s called the gravity well, the balancing point between sun and earth. It was designed to run for five years. It’s 11 years old, is losing steam, and there are no plans to replace it.

ACE provides about 15 to 45 minutes of heads-up to power plant operators if something’s coming in. They can shunt loads, or shut different parts of the grid. But to just shut the grid off and restart it is a $10 billion proposition, and there is lots of resistance to doing so. Many times these storms hit at the north pole, and don’t move south far enough to hit us. It’s a difficult call to make, and false alarms really piss people off. Lots of money is lost and damage incurred. But in Kappenman’s view, and in lots of others, this time burnt could really mean burnt.

Wired.com: Do you live your life differently now?

Joseph: I’ve been following this topic for almost five years. It wasn’t until the report came out that it began to freak me out.

Up until this point, I firmly believed that the possibility of 2012 being catastrophic in some way was worth investigating. The report made it a little too real. That document can’t be ignored. And it was even written before the THEMIS satellite discovered a gigantic hole in Earth’s magnetic shield. Ten or twenty times more particles are coming through this crack than expected. And astronomers predict that the way the sun’s polarity will flip in 2012 will make it point exactly the way we don’t want it to in terms of evading Earth’s magnetic field. It’s an astonoshingly bad set of coincidences.

Wired.com: If Barack Obama said, "Lets’ prepare," and there weren’t any bureaucratic hurdles, could we still be ready in time?

Joseph: I believe so. I’d ask the President to slipstream behind stimulus package funds already appropriated for smart grids, which are supposed to improve grid efficiency and help transfer high energies at peak times. There’s a framework there. Working within that, you could carve out some money for the ground resistors program, if those tests work, and have the initial momentum for cutting through the red tape. It’d be a place to start.

Lee Betts, 29, spotted the glowing red shape hovering 1,000ft up in the night sky from his bedroom window.

The object moved across the sky for more than an hour on Monday evening before shooting off into the distance.

Mr Betts, of Newton St Cyres near Exeter, said he watched the unidentified object through a telescope before taking the pictures at 9pm.

He said: ''I couldn't believe it at first. The shape was about 100ft long and there were four lights coming from it initially.

''The shape moved slowly and it seemed to pivot on a central axis. Then, without warning, a sudden flash of light like a shooting star went across the sky.

''It was very strange. I have been an amateur astronomer for the past three years and I've never seen anything like it before. It's unexplained.''

A police spokesman said they had not received any reports of a UFO sighting in Devon.

Catholic Church Bans REIKI In Hospital

Today, the Boston Globe reports that Catholic hospitals are banning the use of reiki, the practice of waving one's hands over a patient in the hopes of magically channeling a nonexistent "life energy" in order to promote healing. How nutty is this practice, exactly? Well, the Catholic Church officially believes in ghosts, zombies, multiplying dinner rolls, and crackers that are people, but even they're too savvy for this stuff.

The article presents a great example of "false balance," the journalistic practice of giving column inches to kooky ideas that aren't supported by the evidence, under the guise of presenting all viewpoints on an issue. The bulk of the Globe article is devoted to describing reiki as a system of healing that is "enjoying increasing popularity in the United States," which is only true in that yes, more people are doing it lately and yes, it "heals" in exactly the same way the placebo effect can seem to "heal."

On the pro-reiki side, the Globe quotes the following: Debbie Griseuk (reiki practitioner), Linda M. LaFlamme (executive director of the International Association of Reiki Professionals [IARPWTF]), and Kay Murphy (knee surgery patient who says it helped). On the anti-reiki side, they quote: a Catholic Bishop. The "der, I dunno" opinion comes from the director of the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH, a department that tragically appears to be short one hyphen and one informed opinion. The director's exact quotes are pretty valid, suggesting that it's probably the placebo effect, but the article seems to try to make his position seem less sure, with lines like, "With reiki, he says, the question remains: Is it based in science or the placebo effect?"

So what's missing here? The actual science!

The article's opposing view of reiki comes in the form of a bishop who mentions the fact that reiki isn't valid but concentrates more on his opinion that faith in reiki is at odds with faith in the Catholic god. It's common among Christian religions to oppose new age spirituality as a false religion, so it's no surprise that the Catholic Church has made the decision to ban reiki. And it is the correct decision, but not for that reason.

Discontinuing the practice of offering reiki in hospitals is the right move because reiki is pure, unadulterated pseudoscience with absolutely no scientific evidence to support it. Plus, while the article states that reiki is meant to supplement actual medical treatment, many people use it to replace the science-based medicine they need, like Debbie Harrison, an energy healing proponent who died of untreated diabetes in 2005. One is moved to contemplate why the Globe is just now reporting on the ban of reiki several months after it was put in place, and why the Globe reporter chose to ignore the dangers of reiki in lieu of giving the practitioners a chance to peddle their pseudoscience.

Maybe we can ask about that today during the live chat with the aforementioned reiki practitioner Debbie Griseuk herself. We might also ask her about her final quote in the article: "Galileo was denounced by the Catholic Church. I don’t mind being in his company." We wonder if she has any idea who Galileo was and what that crazy stuff he was doing called "science."

Signs Of Water Found On The Moon

There appears to be, to the surprise of planetary scientists, water, water everywhere on the Moon, although how many drops future astronauts might be able to drink is not clear.

Data from three spacecraft indicate the widespread presence of water or hydroxyl, a molecule consisting of one hydrogen atom and one oxygen atom as opposed to the two hydrogen and one oxygen atoms that make up a water molecule. The discoveries are being published Thursday on the Web site of the journal Science.

“It’s so startling because it’s so pervasive,” said Lawrence A. Taylor of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a co-author of one of the papers that analyzed data from a National Aeronautics and Space Administration instrument aboard India’s Chandrayyan-1 satellite. “It’s like somebody painted the globe.”

For decades, the Moon has been regarded as a completely dry place. The dark side is more than ice cold, but when it passes into sunlight, any ice should have long ago been baked away. The possible exceptions are permanently shadowed craters near the Moon’s poles, and data announced this month by NASA verified the presence of hydrogen in those areas, which would most likely be in the form of water.

If water is somehow more widespread, that could make future settlement of the Moon easier, especially if significant water could be extracted just by heating the soil. Oxygen would also be a key component for breathable air for astronauts, and hydrogen and oxygen can also be used for rocket fuel or power generation.

Samples of lunar soil brought back from NASA’s Apollo missions about four decades ago actually did show signs of water, but most scientists working with the samples, including Dr. Taylor, dismissed the readings as contamination from humid Houston air that seeped in before the rocks were analyzed at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

“I was one of the ones back in the Apollo days that was firmly against lunar water,” Dr. Taylor said.

Now he is convinced he was wrong. “I’ve eaten my shorts,” he said.

The Chandrayyan-1 data looked at sunlight reflected off the Moon’s surface and found a dip at a wavelength where water and hydroxyl absorb infrared light. Dr. Taylor estimated the concentration at about one quart of water per cubic yard of lunar soil and rock.

Meanwhile, Roger N. Clark of the United States Geological Survey analyzed decade-old data from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft when it passed the Moon en route to Saturn. He, too, found signs of water or hydroxyl, mostly at the poles, but also at lower latitudes.

Scientists working with the Deep Impact spacecraft, which later studied the Comet Tempel 1, also found infrared absorption at the water and hydroxyl wavelengths. More interesting, the amount of absorption — and thus the quantity of water — varied over time.

That suggests the water is being created when protons from the solar wind slam into the lunar surface. The collisions may free oxygen atoms in the minerals and allow them to recombine with protons and electrons to form water.

Lori M. Feaga, a research scientist at the University of Maryland who is a member of the team that analyzed the Deep Impact data, said this process would work only to about one millimeter into the lunar surface. If correct, that would not give future astronauts much to drink.

“You would have to scrape the area of a baseball field or a football field to get one quart of water,” she said. Source

I’m going to state this right up front, so there’s no confusion - it’s impossible for me to be objective about the Optibike, so if you’re looking for a balanced review, you’re probably not going to get that here. That being said, I am now free to stand up on my electronic soapbox that is this blog and proclaim this - the Optibike is the best, most advanced, most high-tech, and straight-up the coolest and funnest electric bicycle I have had the pleasure and privilege of riding.

I got the opportunity to spend a week with the Optibike 800Li, and put it through it’s paces here in San Diego, where I live. The Optibike 800Li, made in Colorado by Optibike, is an electric bicycle driven by an 800 watt motor and powered by a 20 aH lithium-ion battery. But really, it’s much more than that - it’s a work of art.

Each Optibike model is hand-made in Boulder, Colorado, and the company only makes 25 of them a year, so you know these guys are serious about their product. The Optibike was designed from the ground-up by Jim Turner, an ex-motocross racer and lifetime electric bike enthusiast. Jim leveraged his motorcross racing experience when designing the Optibike, and that translated perfectly into an e-bike that is powerful, rock-solid, good-looking, and a heck of a lot of fun to ride.

Let’s start with the technical specs: The 800Li is driven by an 800 watt motor that is, unlike every other e-bike out there, placed in the crank, where it should be. The problem with putting electric motors on the front or rear hub of a bicycle is that you cannot take advantage of your bike’s gears - the motor directly drives the wheel, which means you’ll invariably top out at a low speed and have problems going up hills.

Instead, Optibike did things right and opted to put the motor in the crank, where it can drive your bike’s chain and is thus connected to the bike’s gearing. Hallelujah! This means if you’re going up a mega-steep hill, you can simply switch to your lowest gear, and along with a bit of your own pedaling, make short work of pretty much any mountain that comes up in front of you. I tested the Optibike on the steepest hill I could find, and it had no problem going up on motor power alone; with a bit of my own pedaling, I was actually going about 15mph up that hill. Other bikers were giving me dirty looks, and I was loving it.

Optibike spared no expense when creating this bicycle - each frame is hand-made, and every single part on the bike is race-quality: Fox 32 Talas RLC fork, FOX Float RP23 rear shock, Avid Juicy Carbon hydraulic disc brakes, Schwalbe Marathon tires, etc. There’s not a part on here that’s even close to ‘average’. The bike felt utterly bomb-proof both on and off-road.

The 800Li is throttle-driven, with the throttle being integrated into the bike’s right handlebar, and the twist shifter in the left handlebar. I thoroughly enjoyed flooring the bike as often as I could, and could easily beat most cars off the line at a stoplight. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of starting at a low gear, cranking back the throttle, and then cycling up the gears as you race off - I had no problems going 35 mph on this bike, and it was FUN! Especially seeing the dumbfounded looks of drivers and and spandexed bicyclists as I flew past them.

The 800Li’s lithium-ion battery pack and it’s control electronics are all integrated into the frame, so it’s hard to even tell that this is an e-bike. Surprised looks by drivers and bikers were common, as I was usually the one passing others by - and pretty darn fast, I might add. The 800Li’s battery pack will give you about a 30 mile range, depending on how you drive it. On my own tests, conducted on the SoCal coast between Pacific Beach and Carlsbad, I got about 25 miles - but I was riding it pretty hard and taking every hill I could find.

As most of you regular readers know, I am a big e-bike enthusiast. Heck, I even have my own e-bike brand, Zoomi. And I love my Zoomi Monterey e-bike. It’s fun, dependable, and affordable - like a good Toyota. But it’s nothing like the Optibike, which as far as I am concerned, is the Ferrari of electric bicycles. You actually have to be careful on this bike - accelerate too fast in the wrong gear, and you WILL pop a wheelie, or worse, end up on your back. Slam the brakes too hard, and you’re going to pull a Superman while the Optibike stops exactly where you told it to.

In short, the Optibike is pretty much a perfect electric bicycle. If you’re looking to get yourself the most high-end, performance electric bicycle out there, there’s really no choice - you have to get an Optibike. Be prepared to pay for it though - while the Optibike’s features and performance are legendary, so is the price: expect to pay $8,995 for the base 800Li, or an astounding $13,995 for the new 2009 OB-1. That’s as much as a good used car.

As for me, I had to return the 800Li to it’s owner last week, and my days haven’t quite been the same. For now, I’m hoping for a miracle windfall and a Bro Deal from Optibike, so that I can buy one for myself. I’m not holding my breath, but you never know.. and if I did have the cash to buy one, it would have already been done.

The Optibike is that good.

Japans New First Lady Says She Rode A UFO To Venus

Japan's next prime minister might be nicknamed "the alien," but it's his wife who claims to have had a close encounter with another world.

"While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus," Miyuki Hatoyama, the wife of premier-in-waiting Yukio Hatoyama, wrote in a book published last year.

"It was a very beautiful place and it was really green."

Yukio Hatoyama is due to be voted in as premier on September 16 following his party's crushing election victory over the long-ruling Liberal Democratic Party on Sunday.

Miyuki, 66, described the extraterrestrial experience, which she said took place some 20 years ago, in a book entitled "Very Strange Things I've Encountered."

When she awoke, Japan's next first lady wrote, she told her now ex-husband that she had just been to Venus. He advised her that it was probably just a dream.

"My current husband has a different way of thinking," she wrote. "He would surely say 'Oh, that's great'."

Yukio Hatoyama, 62, the rich grandson of a former prime minister, was once nicknamed "the alien" for his prominent eyes.

Miyuki, also known for her culinary skills, spent six years acting in the Takarazuka Revue, an all-female musical theater group. She met the U.S.-educated Yukio while living in America.

Hybrid Alien Lizzard Baffles Scientists

IS this bizarre creature really an alien baby or just part of an elaborate hoax - and was it the cause of a mysterious revenge death?

Mexican TV revealed the almost unbelievable story - in 2007, a baby 'alien' was found alive by a farmer in Mexico.

He drowned it in a ditch out of fear, and now two years later scientists have finally been able to announce the results of their tests on this sinister-looking carcass.

At the end of last year the farmer, Marao Lopez, handed the corpse over to university scientists who carried out DNA tests and scans.

He claimed that it took him three attempts to drown the creature and he had to hold it underwater for hours.

Tests revealed a creature that is unknown to scientists - its skeleton has characteristics of a lizard, its teeth do not have any roots like humans and it can stay underwater for a long time.

But it also has some similar joints to humans.

Its brain was huge, particularly the rear section, leading scientists to the conclusion that the odd creature was very intelligent.

But it has seemingly left experts stumped.

And in a further mystery, Lopez has since mysteriously died.

According to American UFO expert Joshua P. Warren (32), the farmer burned to death in a parked car at the side of a road.

The flames apparently had a far higher temperature than in a normal fire!

Now there are rumours that the parents of the creature Lopez drowned were the ones who in turn killed him out of revenge.

There are frequent UFO sightings and reports of crop circles in the area where the creature was found. Perhaps it was left behind deliberately by aliens.

Mexican UFO expert Jaime Maussan (56) was the first to break the story. He claimed it was not a hoax. Farmers also told him that there was a second creature but it ran away when they approached.

The puzzle has caused intrigue amongst BILD’s readers. Some say it is a mutant, others wonder why aliens would leave a baby behind - and one reader asked why aliens don’t wear clothes.

And the bizarre story has reached as far as South Korea and China!
